SVFD USES AMAZON RING NEIGHBORS

Spokane Valley Fire Department is now using Amazon Ring Neighbors as an additional way to communicate with our residents. Our presence in this social media outlet allows us yet another way to deliver fire and life safety messages. According to Ring, “Neighbors is a free app created for residents to connect and share safety updates and information.”
You do not need to own a Ring device or have a home security system. This is a free app that allows residents the ability to communicate with their neighbors about crime and safety. This “interface (also) allows local public safety agencies to join Neighbors to help keep residents safe and informed,” states Ring.
We will be providing information and education about incidents in our jurisdiction. This will help our residents learn about ways to keep their own homes and loved ones safer. You can join the Neighbors App for free on iOS, Android and FireOS devices. For more information on how Ring notifications work, contact our Prevention Division at (509) 928-1700.
