SVFD ENGAGES IN CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT WITH THE LAUNCH OF SREC
Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) keeps current with today’s technology through continuous improvements with the launch of Spokane Regional Emergency Communications (SREC). Citizens want response and they want it faster. SREC has the potential to improve response times from our First Responders. Going to a single point of intake takes away the need for call transfers with its streamlined and efficient integrated approach to emergency services response.
Research of high performance centers throughout Washington State and other areas in the nation, reveal performance with emergency systems nationwide that use SREC like technology, does provide efficiency in service. Response times and service ability greatly improves in areas where integrated emergency services response is utilized.
To understand current practice of emergency response in the metro area and an overview of what changes SREC will incorporate, watch an interview with County Commissioner Mary Kuney, SVFD Chief Bryan Collins, and Liberty Lake Police Chief, Brian Asmus, here.
