SPOKANE VALLEY FIRE DONATES FIRE TRUCK TO THE TOWN OF MALDEN
**********************************************
The Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) is donating one of its retired engines to the Malden Volunteer Fire Department today. Town of Malden Mayor, Dan Harwood, will sign for the donation at today’s ceremony when the truck is handed over to him. SVFD is donating our retired 1999 Pierce Engine. Last year the Town of Malden suffered an unfortunate wildfire that destroyed over 80% of the city, including their fire truck.
“We are very excited to be able to help out the Town of Malden,” said Spokane Valley Fire Department Fire Chief, Bryan Collins. “As we go into warmer temperatures and wildfire season, this fire engine will be a valuable asset for the Town of Malden.”
