SPOKANE VALLEY FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO COMMERCIAL FIRE
**********************************************
The Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to a reported commercial fire at approximately 1615 today in the Spokane Industrial Park in Spokane Valley.
The first arriving crews found a mechanical fire that had been knocked down by a working sprinkler system. Truck companies laddered the roof to check for extension to the roof while additional crews ensured that all occupants were out of the building. Three sprinklers activated, preventing the fire from spreading.
A total of 12 fire units responded to the call. No injuries were reported.
SVFD would like to remind business owners to ensure that their sprinkler systems are working and serviced regularly..
