SPOKANE VALLEY FIRE CONTINUES DAILY FIRE EDUCATION SERIES FOR KIDS OUT OF SCHOOL
Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) has been hosting a daily Fire Safety lesson for kids at 10 a.m. each morning on Facebook since March 23. The lessons are followed by a fun Fire Safety activity the kids can download, print, and engage their learning. With schools continuing with home education, SVFD has extended that learning opportunity through the end of the school year, June 19.
Join the SVFD every day for Fire Education at 10 a.m. for something fun and educational for your children. On Fridays there are two opportunities.
Here is what the weekly schedule looks like:
Mondays 10 a.m. Pre-Kindergarten – 1st grade, video and activity
Tuesdays 10 a.m. Grades 2 – 3, video and activity
Wednesdays 10 a.m. Grades 4 – 5, video and activity
Thursdays 10 a.m. Grade 6 – 8, video and activity
Fridays 9:30 a.m. Grades 9 – 12, video and activity
10 a.m. Fire Science Friday with SVFD Firefighter Rick Freier, AKA “The Fire Science Guy”
