Honor Guard

The Spokane Valley Fire Department Honor Guard is comprised of current and retired Department firefighters who volunteer their time to this team with support by the Commissioners. The mission of the Honor Guard is to pay respect to the firefighter and law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate price protecting others and the family they leave behind. The Honor Guard also pays respect to retired personnel, immediate family members, and distinguished community citizens who have passed away. Additionally, the Honor Guard represents SVFD in support of regional and community events.
The Honor Guard includes two major components: The Color Guard, for presentation of the flags and formalized processions and the Pipe & Drum Corp. These groups function both individually and jointly.
