Fire Marshal Issues Burn Restrictions

Fruithill Road Fire: Valley crews battle fast moving fire that threatened several homes on 4/29/2006. FD #9 and a PBY assisted bringing the flames under control. Minor damage to one home.
Due to increasing temperatures, fuel conditions, and fire potential forecasting, it is that time of year again to recognize the potential for wildfire in our region. Please find the attached burn restriction order and notice for the unincorporated areas of Spokane County, City of Spokane Valley, City of Liberty Lake, and City of Millwood. The restriction is effective 8:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, and applies to specified fire/devices (camp fire, fire bowls, fire pits). The restriction will continue until further notice.
