SVFD will provide smoke detectors to citizens in need. SVFD will not supply smoke detectors to apartments or rental property. On any response to a private home, the crew will ask if the citizen of the home has a working smoke detector in place.  If there is not a working smoke detector in the home, the crew will offer a new smoke detector to the citizen.

If you need and cannot afford a smoke detector for your home, please inquire at any Spokane Valley Fire station.

Carbon Monoxide detectors will be provided only if a homeowner’s CO detector is malfunctioning.
