The men and women of SVFD are the fabric of what makes your emergency services work so well.  They demonstrate daily the values that keep our communities safe, strong and worth living in.  Many of our employees live in our community and in addition to working for SVFD they also volunteer with many community organizations and activities.

They are coaches for our children’s sports programs, leaders in our after school programs, Scout leaders, volunteers with the MDA, the Guild School, and various cancer support agencies.  They help in local schools reading to children or as a "lunch buddy" and participate in the Spokane Valley Firefighter’s Benevolent Association.  Many of our employees have served proudly in the military and are still active in the reserves.  They are some of the reasons we have such a great quality of life where we live.

The employees of SVFD serve the public in many different ways.  They are elected by you to serve on your Board of Fire Commissioners.  They are Firefighters, Administrators, Mechanics, Administrative Assistants, EMTs, Paramedics, Engineers, and Technicians bringing many skill sets to help make SVFD an efficient and capable organization.

The Spokane Valley Fire Department is very proud of the people that work for you.  It is because of who they are, what they do and how they value the principal of service to the community that we are successful in striving for excellence.  Please stop by and meet us.
