The Spokane Valley Fire Department operates an emergency apparatus maintenance facility that is staffed by 2 Master Certified Emergency Vehicle Technicians and is overseen by the Fleet Supervisor.

The Department maintains, services and repairs 21 fire apparatus and 27 staff vehicles, as well as numerous generators, snowblowers, fans, chainsaws, circle saws, hydraulic rescue equipment and pretty much anything else that needs attention.

The Department has a contract with the Northern Lakes Fire Department to maintain and repair their apparatus. The maintenance facility is also an authorized service center for Seagrave Fire Apparatus and KME Fire Apparatus. This allows us to perform our own warranty repairs and drastically reduces downtime.

The Fleet Supervisor develops specifications for new apparatus in conjunction with the Apparatus Committee and attends pre-construction conferences and final inspections at the manufacturer’s facility.
